    Receiving other satellites, stupid question?

Just recieved my Vu Duo and which I have to say is superb but need to ask what is probably a very stupid question.

Can I receive any other satellites with a fixed dish?

I live in a flat with shared dish so a motorised one unfortunately isn't an option will I be able to pick up any other satellites?

As I said I think it's a stupid question because the answer is probably no but just wanted to check with some smarter people.

I'm using the latest BH images and living in central Scotland with the old 'big' type satellite dish.

Thanks in advance for any help.

no sorry fixed dish points to one sat only with the usual lnb.if you had an open window and line of sight to another sat maybe this might work.

yes you can however you would need to setup a expensive multi LNB system.

Love the look of that particularly as my back window is south facing but the can't see the missus going for it!

Thanks rubberduck, how expensive an LNB system, I've already got 2 feeds from my old SLY tv set up, is that useful?

yep the lad who did that said it was the only way left to do it on a sat box as building had no dish on roof and laws prevent outside dishes, only works in the dry season as window is closed in monsoon.there is another type of box dish but cannot remember what its called but it used multiple sats.

a shared dish may not allow you to tinker with somebody else property.
