    split feed to receiver

I have a fixed dish connected to sky HD box, what is best way if possible to, from communal box in lounge with shotgun cables, use a splitter box to have feed to sky box and vu+duo so I can alternate from watching either box, one on HDM1 the other on HDM2 through tv. Will this affect signal, is it as stupid as it sounds ? Would it be just one connection to vu+ duo or two satellite connections in back of box and what configuration to set it at. Ive had this vu box for months and never used it as Im not very technical.
    Any help appreciated thanks

all sat box need their own feed from lnb on dish,do not split the signal with splitters.vu duo is a twin tuner box so would need shotgun cable to dish.you may need more lnbs to run more cables, octo for 4 feeds or 2 twin tuner boxes,or octo 8 feeds or 4 tuner boxes.i have had 2 boxes saorview combo needind aerial and sat cable and the duo with 2 sat cables.
