4am i can't understand why this won't display a channel, i have scanned both A & B tuners everything looks like its going well then i click ok try to try a channel then i get tune failed. A i aint alone i have been looking around a few forums and other folks are suffering the same problem. Ah well give it another go later to-day.

You mentioned freesat box was starting to lose channels. Has dish been moved slightly? When you press menu > setup > service searching > tuner configuration what do you see? > If you press ok you will see tuner settings as well. I assume you are doing automatic scan? Do you see it scanning and listing channels? Check dish and cable are spot on otherwise you are pissing against the wind.

All the channels are displaying. Tell me this when ever i do a scan and pick up a 1000 channels and thats both tuners. Thats about 40mins. What am i supposed to be doing after that? I won't let this defeat me. I have a signal extender in the kitchen but when it was in my b/room the laptop got limited access and xbox wouldn't connect at all. Doubt that has anything to do with it. Don't want to turn it off unless i have to as its a pain in the arse when its connecting again. Thanks for your post, don't desert me.

When it says scan done > exit press forward on d pad then blue button should say favourites and last scanned. press ok on last scanned and scroll down list to channel. Your box has definately scanned and picked up as far as I can see. HTH

Excuse my thickness exit press forward on d pad whats d pad is this on screen or remote. I defaulted the box and went back to beginning, at the min its doing the service list.

Right, cross peg picked up about 930 channels, now its doing parsing summaries. that should take 10mins. Open vix radio showing on screen with dreadful back ground music

I'll give it 1 more go to-day then leave it till another day. I have the display in colour to see if it will make anything more obvious.

parsing sounds like you are downloading epg data as screen changes to radio mode until it loads the data,you said it found around 1000 channels ok,press the arrow button pointing down should bring up red-all,green sats.orange-provider and blue favourites,press the green button you should see 3 settings for 28.2,services,providers,and new.
pressing the red button should list all the channels on the scan.
doing a factory default wipes all info off box,settings channels etc but not image,you would then need to start from scratch,run wizard if needed to setup scan language and lan connection,run scan should get 1000 channels as you said,is it the epg you are having problems with.

Been at it all evening, the sat box i mean . Someone made a suggestion to me, does this box need to be flashed with a bit of software via a memory stick. It was put to me earlier. i have figured out just about everything on this thing except get a picture.Back to the drawing board to-morrow. Thanks for your post, your keepin me spirits up.

whats in the menu information about that will tell us what info is loaded.
did you say you had another freesat box and can you view channels.
you need to look at bbc.itv etc as they are open and should work,do you have channel listings in the all section [ red ] and is the favourites [blue ] button have anything.

I get a screen that says this, (channel N/A )a whole list of that. i can't even get bbc or itv was able to b4 i did the first scan. i'm tryin your last tip at the minute, its scanning away in there. IF there was someone who lived near me who had the same unit i'd ask them to call in. It doesn't make sense, this should be obvious.I put a post on W O S had 1 reply to date.Thanks for your post.

At long last, got the bloody thing working , thanks to you guys. The channels are all over the place,so i now need to organise the channels into a handier epg. That did my head in. Thanks guys, can't thank you both enough. Bow thats out of the way , is it possible to install noobroom? What else can i do on this bloody thing.

in the all section channels will be from a-z,what you need to do now is a bouquet [favourites ] list for 28.2,sgt flipflops
download plugins---extensions-open and scroll down list and click on sgt.flipflops for 28e.that should load a favourites section to be used from the blue button.
ah the n/a i also got that and i reloaded again and favourites came back up correctly,maybe an internet glitch?i get that also
