Problem for a noob configuring VU+ duo clone with dish

Hi I am new here!! Hello people . I have had a 98cm motororised dish installed with quad Lnb. Also just had arrived a clone VU+ Duo box with black hole installed I think.

I have been initially trying to set up the channels and list but to no avail. I initially set up my box tuners a and b on the positioner mode (for motorised dish). My satellite installer set me up at 28.2 deg when he left and proved the system worked by using his box (as mine hadn't arrived).

I tried to do the channel search and got absolutely nothing. I then did a signal check and saw I was getting a flickering signal strength from 0 -35% ish on tuner a but I was getting a 100% signal on tuner B?

I then spoke to the guy who sold my box and he said that I should have initially configured the box to suit a fixed dish (purely to pick the channels up and then do the motor set up after the base channels have been found.

I did try swapping the tuner a and b cables over and change it to the fixed dish mode. However I'm guessing that my dish is 'out of sync' and that the arc may be wrong etc. as I was still getting no signal on fixed dish mode.

So how do I re-align the dish? Or do I need the engineer out? What should I do next? Do I need to 'flash' the box with a fAT 32
    Formatted USB?

I want to get my channel lists and then setup CCcam etc.

Any help much appreciated. Thank you

Take it round a friends or neighbours house who runs sky... Prove to yourself that it's working, and store the 28e channels...
THEN you can faff with your dish...
