What image are you using

Hi Guys

I have a Vu+Duo clone (v 2 already patched) Kernel 3.11
I was using Vix 2.4 build 151 and 155 but recently it seems newerd image are causing problem and even when I flashed back to vix 2.4 build 151, the box just restarted few times and sometime didnt start at all!

So now I am using Vix 2.3 build 204 and it seems to work better but I do have from time to time a restart or a freeze

Please tell me what you are using

why not try the image it came with which is a good image

i have no problems with clones running any bh image up to 1.75 and now leave them with the image they come with

at the end of the day i think most of this image changing is a waste of time as they all do more or less the same thing

and for most they are only watching tv and bh images seem to work well in the clones

I did read somewhere else that one user had got his Duo clone V2 working with the latest images no problem, How he did this was to load a previous version of blackhole with the MeoBoot option and then load the images from that.

If anyone's not familiar with MeoBoot its a feature on blackhole image that lets you load a different image from a formatted USB stick, So in theory you could have BH 1.7.5 in the Flash of your Duo but on the USB stick have images from say Vix,Blackpole,VTi and load a different one from there.


I cant test this as i dont have a clone anymore but from the posts it seemed to work OK.

I also read that but is meoboot compatible with vix images as well?

Lets say the main image flashed it vix 2.4 build < 155 then in the usb meoboot have BH 1.7.6 or even vix 2.4 > 155

I know he also mentioned few features not working as the box didnt like the image to be saved on the usb stick but for most it worked fine

This will be great, to have latest image and build working with the clones until the new drivers get patched (fingers crossed)!!

I like Vix, its simple to use and all the stuff I use for (watch and record tv, stream on iphone/android/pc and airplay from iOS and Android) works like a treat

I think most users where struggling to update via the feeds to the latest updates to the image, as you know this cannot be done as the image needs to be on flash for this part to work.
