crossepg problem

i have a problem with cross epg
im not getting a full epg of what is on 28.2e im only getting now and next and thats only on some channels
ive tried downloading and forcing it load but they dont seem to do anything
set it up like this -
enable cav import YES
force epg reload YES
show as plugin YES
show forced plugin NO

when do a restart enigma that scren goes green ( think its the crash screen) then trys to reboot its self but just hangs so i have to turn off at the back then back on to get it back to normal but after that epg doesnt show anything at all
if anyone can help id be greatful
p.s once i have this sorted would like to know how to set up epg to download by it self so i dont have to get it each week

What image are you using on the Duo, and are you using OpenTV or Rytec server to download the 28.2? east EPG.

Just to clarify and check i have just done a manual download from OpenTV which gets the EPG direct from the Satellite EPG Transponder and it has come back with a full 7 day guide so thats definitely working.

using open pli never had a problem with it all plugins work fine on it just like any other image
using rytec as it the only ones i can see that have 28.2 next it
i set my friends duo up the same and isnt getting any problems with his epg

Select open TV, make sure its checked, yellow button to download, turn to a radio station for a min or two, then back to channel you were watching, should be a full 7 day epg now, in Vix anyway m8 :-)

i have all 28.2 tick on xmltv providers tick
same on open tv providers and xepgdb providers
still doesnt come up with full epg
i have a 120gb hard drive in and it is empty i also hav that select in config menu also tried internal flash too but still the same

i wonder if you have 2 many selected and its getting overloaded with info,that happened me with the solo,i unclicked them and started again and now its loading,maybe a glitch in the lan as it took ages to load nothing

Ok first thing to do is to get the 28.2? EPG working so untick everything and just leave the 28.2? one ticked on the OpenTV providers.

Then when you exit back to crossepg make sure the Reload on boot is ticked and also it maybe an idea that where ever you have the EPG being saved to either USB or Internal harddrive just delete the contents of the EPG folder.

when you say it only came up with one what does 'one' mean exactly

You should be getting this on yer box m8.

i mean one epg info e.g sky sports news - first now (now) blank (next) sorry should of been more clear

if you cannot untick the rytec and other providers then something is wrong, I only have 28.2? east opentv ticked on mine and it works everytime.

I think you may need to do a re-flash of the image and start again.

do you not just reclick it to add or remove the green tick.

was think that but was trying to avoid that if possible

yeah you either click ok or press green but when i untick them then go off the provider it somehow ticks its self again (know this as i went back into after i had untick and it was back ticked)
