Blachole Image Tuner server is compatible with XBMC and other devices, A quote from the site from one of the users.

        just for report:
tuner server works fine with apple atv2 with xbmc with sd and hd , but not all hd channels eg the raihd sat one play just the sound

You can setup your Vu+duo into XBMC (tested on windows and iphone)

Just use tuxbox as network input then enter your box ip, username and password, then you will access your channel directly on XBMC

Also there are XBMC plugins for that, like Live TV which has also the EPG

Let me know if you need more info

              On the Vu+Duo:

Install either the WebInterface or the OpenWebIf
              Enable the one you want
Also you need to install the tuxbox extention for this to work

              On the PC/Iphone:

              Install XBMC
Go to Video Files, Add Videos..., Browse, Add network Location..
In the protocol chose Tuxbox Client
Server address, well, your Vu+duo ip
port, well the port you have for WebInterface or OpenWebIf
              username: root
              password: <putyourpasswordhere>
Then click ok, it will load your channel list/bouquet, then select it and chose a name of this input

              Hope this helps!

is that what you mean by 'vix plugin section'?

if you search for the vu+ pvr plugin for xbmc really simple to set up - bang in the IP of your vu box - everything from EPG data to recordings on the box show up. You will need the PVR Branch of XBMC. Google is your friend here...

thanks for this. got this to work on ipad 3.

but can't get HD channels to appear, just get audio. i'm assuming it has something to do with the wifi?

if this was setup on xbmc on an apple tv 2 for example it would be capable of viewing hd channels?

My R Pi is being a real pain. I can't get the wifi dongle to work on openlec. I have tried two dongles now and none will work.

I know its off topic a little, however have you got your Pi working off a dongle? If so what am I doing wrong as I have looked everywhere for a solution and dont seen to be able to find one.
