Is it possible to stream from vu+duo to my android phone. I installed vlc streamer, i then opened webif was able to open bouquets and scroll through epg , but that was as far as i could go. nothing would stream. Can it be done and if so can any of you guys tell me how?

I'm currently doing the same thing. Got it working internally on my wifi using vplayer and dreamdroid but how do I set a username and password and also change the port on the vu duo so I can open my firewall and stream over the net? I'm running vix image.

      Cheers Chris

Username is root. Change passwd in telnet. Type passwd, exactly as written, and hit enter.
Enter password and hit enter. Confirm password and hit enter.
        That should change your password.
Then go into router settings by typing your router ip in the address bar of your browser. Normally 192.168.0.1
Then need to go to port forwarding and configure to forward port 80.
Then to access you need to type in your ip address. Not your lan ip but the actual ip, just google what's my ip and you'll get the result.
My ip changes so I opened a dyndns account so I just enter my dyndns address to access my duo.
You do need a very fast upload speed though, probably in the region of 5-6 meg.
This is just off the top of my head but I think it's all there.

I can change the port in my cisco router and setup port forwarding but I dont want port 80 open to the whole world. I want to change the port number on the vu duo to something different

The port used is the port set in WebInterface or OpenWebIf
You can change this in its settings, so the port could be anything you want!

When ever you are streaming, from or to, its using data and it will for sure bring your bill high if you dont have an unlimited data plan!
