    Duo wont flash via USB..

Hey guys and gals. Picked up a clone duo this week. Its come out of the box with Blackhole 1.7.2 installed on it, but wanted to give the latest clone safe Vix image a go as I hear its more user friendly as such.

Im trying to flash via USB, I have put the image files in vuplus/duo but the box just boots to blackhole when I put the stick in the front usb slot. Is there something else I should be doing here?

I thought it might be the stick but it works fine with my pc's etc, also the duo recognises it when I have it in there for crossepg etc so Im a bit puzzled.

    Any thoughts?

Cheers guys. Tried with just putting the 3 files in the root, still nothing.

Reformatted the drive to fat32 again, still nothing.

Now my extra problem is this - the actual lcd display has taken a bang (or is a friday afternoon model) and it doesn't work. A pin has come loose on the display itself and cant be resoldered. I shouldn't imagine this would effect the USB port though. So I get nothing on the display, it just boots to the blackhole image as I cant see what the display could or should read! Does it automatically flash the image or do you have to press something? If I have to press something then I wont know as I cant see jack on the display.. haha

hi it will just load from the usb stick what its powered on if you can not see display leave it for about 5 mins if it does flash for you before powering of

whan you say just the 3 files what way are you putting this on stick?

when i put image on stick i open the rar file and just load the vuplus file on its own it has the

          files in it

are you opening this and putting them on stick in separate files ? it will not work this way

as potrobber has aready told you it wont flash if
your opening the vuplus folder and the duo folder
and taking the files out and then putting them on your
usb stick,? if you are then it wont flash the box
you dont open the vuplus folder you send that to the
usb stick. then it loads the vuplus folder the duo folder
and the files then the vu will open these two folders and flash
            the box for you.

Nah I aint doing that, the files are there in the vuplus/duo folder. Im just unraring the file straight to the stick.

Just picked up a new stick now, lets give it a whirl..
