problems streaming

Hi,

I am trying to stream from vlc on my pc to my vu+duo box using the vlc plugin, I have set up evrything according to a couple of guides but when i try to connect i get the dreaded

HTTP ERROR 403 FORBIDDEN

I know its related to permissions and have checked firewalls and sharing protocols which all seem fine

Anyone had this issue or got any advice.

Have you kept vlc running and added web interface ?

yes done both, I'm using vlc 2.0.3 which doesn't have the port setting in preferences think this might be the reason not sure

try using vlc1.0.5 thats what im on

i will give that a go. managed to do a network mount to share some movies with the box
