You're seriously better off doing it yourself. Read up and have a tinker, you'll be up and running in no time.
These boxes need a bit of upkeep so it's best you learn how to do it yourself. It's not as hard as you think.

the box iv got is a clone and iv heard so much about potentially bricking them etc which i belive is irreversible so i just wanna make sure i get it right first time.

If it's got a v2 sticker on the back, which it should, you're good to go.
I think anything before vix 2.4 155 and blackhole 1.7.5 is ok.
        I'm using vix 2.4 96 and it's been flawless.

thanks, i know it comes with some version of blackhole already installed, i will check which 1 and update if necessary.

btw what are the difference between blackhole and vix?

and also the difference between updates etc?

          thanks.

ps i have just started a new thread regarding the image issues.

Vix and blackhole are just 2 different 3rd party images.
I prefer vix, others prefer blackhole. Down to choice really.
Whilst you're waiting for your box you can download dreambox edit, dreambox control centre and a version of tspanel.
All will be needed in time.
Also read up on duo setup, just google it.

I would probably say try the box first for a couple of days on the stock image that it comes with, Just to test its working correctly before you go flashing any other image on there.

As for dreambox edit and DCC, seeing as your a first timer head over to goldwafers website and download VUCC written specifically by lee for the VU it has everything you need with a nice easy front end no need for other programs this will do everything you need.

If your box comes pre-loaded with blackhole and has no channel list just press green/yellow and go to the online servers and download the latest channel list, Blackhole are pretty good at keeping the servers up to date with all the latest lists.

              Code:
              http://www.goldwafers.com/files/VuCC_V0.5.zip
