    VU+ Duo Stuck on "starting..."

My VU+ duo was working perfectly, but when I turned it on one morning it wouldn't boot. It just displays "starting..." on the box, and nothing is displayed on the tv.

I tried to flash a bootloader, but it just displays "reading usb" for a fraction of a second and then displays "starting..." again. I then tried to flash the vix 2.3.204 image but the same thing happened,

I have no hard drive connected, or network cable or any other usb.

I was thinking about restoring the original firmware. If I was to install the original vu+ firmware, would I need to install a bootloader first?

Any ideas what I should do? Could my box be bricked? Could have to rma.

Any help would be much appreciated

Its an original. Got it off hm-sat a few months ago, so there's a good warranty on it aswell

head over to the VU site and get hold of the latest official firmware for USB and try that, if all else fails you can get hold of the same firmware in .nfi form and flash via a null modem lead.

        dont forget bm750.

        Code:
        http://archive.vuplus.com/image/2012/7.0/

Grand, thanks digicon. I'll try that tomorrow, and see how it goes, as its getting late here at the moment.

What do you mean by bm750?

I just tackled it there. The original image flashed over the usb, and then I managed to put vix on it afterwards.

Thanks a lot for the help

I've been presented with a new problem now. The whole screen is green, but its working again I think. I tried changing the a/v settings but it made no difference

I might try the latest blackhole image and see if that works

You say you don't have any usb or hdd connected. Is the image you flashed working perfectly at first and are you then adding stuff to flash and getting green screen?
