Which HDD & Firmware for Vu Duo Clone

Just bought a Duo Clone V3 off NextBay for ?165 that a good price? Should be here in a week.

What firmware would anyone recommend for this box and which HDD should I purchase (1TB)

id go with BLACKHOLE 1.7.2. mediatree, as for a HDD is personal choice/budget but dont go for one with too high a rpm speed. regards mdt

You could go for a 2.5" 1TB HD as they are quieter than the 3.5" drives and produce less heat too.

If it was me is only be looking at installing a laptop drive TBH. Seen to many reports of a full size HDD causing problems.

I've had a few clones and 2.5 is the way to go, less stress on components.

Should be able to, also I'd be interested on what image and version comes presinstalled on the box.

The Duo and the Solo are being offered with latest vix and blackhole preinstalled.

I've not yet seen any Ferrari boxes with update there are no other duo's apart from Ferrari but the solo has non Ferrari versions now witch are much better with latest update I got mine last week with vix 3.0 build 410 from ukdreamshop and I tonight used the update button and updated perfectly today today's release of build 416 works like a dream very impressed with these new clones and the price was great also dream boxes are no more

There are also other PRC manufacturers making both the solo and duo clone and not just ferrari.

Apparently the non Ferrari solo clones can run the newer images.
