Vu duo stops working when record starts??

My ferrari vu duo loses signal when a recording starts. I have to reboot every time and cannot get channels back on untill recording finishes.

I installed the hdd myself it's straight out of a sky hd box.

I initialised the hdd and when I leave the box recording, it's records the program etc but signal is lost during this recording period.

2 tuners set up fine.

Running vix 2.96.

Have I missed something?

Did you mount the hdd? A lot of folk seem to have problems with 3.5 hdd in the clone something to do with power issue.

are you connected by 2 sat cables

It's a power issue, probably be ok with a 2.5 inch drive.

Just 1 sata cable, gonna have a play with it later.

is there anyway to get a 3.5" to work in a clone duo?

i have a seagate 320GB thats out of a sky hd box.

Order a new power supply which still may not work or bite the bullet and get a a 2.5
