    Vu+ Duo from nextbay??

By reading various threads it seems like the best place to get a Vu+ is nextbay. I was about to buy one but just read that its a Ferrari version.

Vu+ DUO HD Set Top Box Stock on Sale Freeshipping! [Vu+ DUO HD Ferrari Version V.3] - $258.00 : nextbay.biz

What exactly does this mean and how does this differ?

    Thanks

if you want a vu+duo go original as that has a warranty and not give psu issues like the many clones, remember this is now an old box and mark 2 out soon.

I always smile when people say the original Duo+ is an old box, and something new out will be better, but my Duo is very reliable, and does what I want. I just bought another box the GigaBlue Quad, and it is very buggy. It was a nightmare to setup, because the tuning software is buggy, and they are still trying to fix it.
It will be an excellent box, when or if they fix the bugs, but the Duo+ has been excellent from the day I bought it, a few years ago. I can afford to mess around with a buggy new box, when I have a reliable Duo. It seems with the clones it is a lucky dip, with more people being ripped off now then they used too.

I got a duo from next bay and 1 of the tuners is faulty and the USB ports at back don't work so pretty annoyed and wishin i got original but apart from that everything seems ok!

Btw they refunded me $50 which isn't much but it's something.

The duo is not as infallible as you seem to imagine it is, There are still bugs on our sheets going back 2 years that were waiting for Vu to fix, dont get me wrong i have a Duo ( Original ) and the Duo LE ( original ) and both work fantastically well but there by no means bug free. nor are any Vu's for that matter including the uno and ultimo of which i have examples in my test room.

that said i still would never consider buying a clone as they in my opinion are utter crap, you just have to look at this V3 nonsense to see that.

Going back to the original question, how does the ferrari version differ from a standard clone?

I never said they are bug free, because has you have said they all have bugs, but compare to other boxes I have used it is a walk in the park. With the built in backup on the excellent vix image, I just put a backup on a USB stick, and any problems I just reflash it, and I am up and running in 10 mins. I have only used it once since I have had it.
