I will for sure be getting the Vu+ Solo 2 at that price but what is interesting is that the current touted flash size is 256MB but on the VU website it says 128MB.

            Solo2

Which is it? 128MB or 256MB?

Hi mate I have been considering and putting off for a very long time the purchase of the duo. Reading your post and looking at the spec on the 1st post here is there anything that the solo2 lacks that is available on the duo. One major consideration for me is that my amp does not have HDMI so I need to use S/PDIF for sound which this model does have.

In a nutshell whats the difference between duo & solo2.

              Thanks

One more thing to consider is the Gigablue quad is running the exact same CPU as the upcoming Solo2.

does the solo2 have two slots for tuner or a single slot with a twin dvbs2 tuner?

Guys this will blow the 4 year old duo into next week with the specification thats on the Solo2, My advice wait for the release cause anyone who buys a Duo now unless it drops in price to less than a ?100 is incredibly stupid.

I'd like to know how the transcoding is going to be achieved on the solo2 and duo2?
Surely 1300 mhz isn't enough processor power to do that.
I heard a rumor that there would be some secret chip used to enable this.
