    Tuner failed message when recording

Aaaargh!! Another problem with this box!

It looks like there may be a fault with tuner B on my Clone Vu Duo (running Vix 2.4.96)

My settings are Tuner A simple, single, 28.2E, no
Tuner B equal to A (I've also tried loopthru and set it up identically to A)
I'm running the receiver from the old sky dish with twin cables.

Generally, it works well, but just tried recording and then viewing another channel. Everytime I do this I get a black screen and then a 'tuner failed' message. The OSD shows 'tuner AB'
I can then go back to the channel that's recording and its fine showing 'tuner A' on the OSD.

I've done a bit of fiddling and tried each of the cables in tuner A, both are working fine.
Looking at the sat finder in settings, tuner A gives generaly around a 80% SNR, but sometimes drops to 20-30%.

    Tuner B always shows 0%.

Does this look like a hardware fault to anyone, or am I doing something silly?
    Any help would be appreciated!

Hi, did you find a solution to your problem, I think I'm having the same issues, I have set recordings and if I'm watching a different channel to the set recorded one the recording is just a blank screen, I'f I'm watching the channel I have set to record it records fine but if I change channel every other one is blank, any help at all would be greatly appreciated is I am very new to this. Thanks

If your snr jumps around like that then you need to find out why. If I run sat finder on my box both tuners sit at 90+ % and I have a green locked tick.

          Could be mgcamd

I found when i used Mgcamd with my clone i had this problem. But using cccam sorted it. A simple test is to use freeview channels and try recording bbc 1 and change to itv 1 and see if its ok. then you know its not the tuners.

          Cheers
