    Hide 'empty channels' - Blackhole

    Hi,

I have downloaded the bouquet from SGTFlipFlop and using dreamboxedit to update and upload the data to my vu+ device. To keep everyone happy at home I have 'sync'ed' the channel numbers to what sly was i.e. 101 is BBC1, 102 BBC2, 103 ITV etc etc

However, to do this I had to create a number of empty channels/service (sorry, being a newbie I am not yet familiar with the terminology) within Dreamboxedit. I have uploaded and everything works, however, all the empty channels I created are being listed.

Is there a way I can 'hide' the empty/blank channels but keep the 101, 102 etc (I know I can delete the empty channels, but then my numbering is out of sync)? I am not sure if it is setting in the EPG plugin or in Blackhole.

    Any advice/pointers is well appreciated.

    thanks

Not an expert but I don't think there's a way to do this.

Best advice I can give is the longer you try and mimic what the sky box used to do the longer you'll get headaches as there are so many differences. For example my wife used to continually complain when I got my first enigma box but now she's used to it and it's just second nature.

ABM in the ViX / OE-A images does exactly what you want. so much so that Pli are now actively looking at implementing a version into their image.

Didn't know about this, just been over and that was an interesting read, thanks. Going to give it a try at some point.

RD, what's your username over on the ViX forums? Is it Rob van der Does
