certain sats greyed out

I'm using a vu+ duo , latest vix , and catseye E2 latest settings using a motorised setup ansd usals which work fine. but when i select 4.8e in sats (green button) 4.8e is greyed out. same goes for nearly all the west sats + 23.5 0.8 30e . i get an error message on screen saying :- "SERVICES UNAVAILABLE PLEASE CHECK TUNER CONFIGURATION"

when i go into tuner settings then select "configuration mode - advanced" and scroll through the satellites it actually says

ASTRA 4A/SES 5 (4.9E) & SES 5 (5.0E)

it doesn't say 23.5 it says

ASTRA 1D (23.1E)" & "ASTRA 1D/3B (23.3E)"

how do i change that ?

change it to simple,motorised. regards mdt

it is set to "simple" i only moved the config mode to "advanced" to see if 4.8e was listed and it wasnt 4.9e & 5.0e were listed though. Then i changed it back to "simple".

try doing your own satellites.xml file and ftp it over or try @vhannibal,s list,regards mdt

ive tried a new sat.xml still the same and im old school, i prefer catseye as im so use to were everything is.

Manually edit the file to reflect the sats.

Manic has hit the nail on the head your USALS setting is getting mixed up so you need to edit out the Sats you dont need that duplicate themselves

open up the sat.xml file and edit out the ones you dont need or try this one

i ftp'ed that over to the enigma2 folder on my vu+ duo writing over the satellites.xml already there , , , rebooted , and nothing changed. 4.8e is still greyed out along with 23.5 30e and 0.8w then rebooted and all the west sats ..pishin me off no end this.

Hmmmmm! Strange one as that file came straight out of my latest Vhannibal list without the duplicate names. why not try Vhannibal multisat list just to see if it cures the problem and then revert back to catseye.

should only take 10mins at the most

back up your important files and try a fresh flash/install as it seems corrupt somewhere if the new .xml isnt working and its set up correctly,regards mdt

In tuner config menu make sure your latitude and longitude are correct. i downloaded a sat xml file and ftp to my box and some of the sats were greyed out when i checked the tuner config it had replaced my lat and long setting with the settings of the guy who put the sat xml together, once i entered my settings again all the sats were available
