VU DUO DEAD STUCK STARTING..... HELP

i have a vu duo clone v2 got it around a year ago replaced psu around 6months ago. it was working fine until few days ago and now the panel at front just says startting with a red led light. iv flahed several images via usb and also used a rs232 cable to flash them but no luck. also but bootlader via usb and flashed the v2 and v3 update and still doesnt work. iv tried everything possbile but cant get the damm thing to work. could someone help me out plz. thanks

i have the original solo and that stuck also on the loading withe the vix symbol spinning and have to reflash again,think digicon could advise better.

You say you flashed v3? Have you fitted the new security board?

Check all the connections inside are pushed fully home. Also if you have a hdd fitted, disconnect it and try again.

Probably another faulty psu as bfp says why would you try to flash v2 with v3 update? As box wasn't working box probably didn't flash anyway.

yh i have a v2 chip and flashed the v3 firmware on it i was just rushing and didnt think. also all wiring is intact took hdd off aswell but no luck

look for a thread about the red light saw one in the solo and duo sections basicly you might be able too fix it with the jtag style fix with involves buying a pcb and reflashing your your unit

Wat do i need to jtag the box? Now theres just a solid red led doesnt even say starting on the display nw

You need to try and flash the v2 firmware onto the box using the dongle and serial lead.

is that a serial cable or null modem cable as both differ?
if correct cable keep trying ?

Its the cable i got with the box and the module. I flashed thr firmware using vu uti and now i get starting on the display at front thats it. I have tried doing the secret update using the module provided but it isnt working. i think i may have killed the security chip thats why when i try to flash bootloader update it doesnt respond
