CCTV question

Is it possible to use the duo to connect a outside cctv camera, if so would it be possible for the camera to trigger the the record side of the duo from a standby position. If any of you already do this , could you recommend a decent night vision camera?

Personally never tried this and i doubt its possible and to be perfectly honest the price for a 4CH DVR with iphone/Android capabilities its not much more than a skybox F3/F5 price wise.

The reason i asked was, i recently discovered i can hide a cam that's connected to the duo and it records everything in the room. made me curios about what else it could do.

I know there used to be some CCTV plugins for E2 but i have never used them. as for your own tests if the camera works with the duo and records fine then all you would need is a dev to code something up for it although that may be easier said than done.

I'm enjoying myself, at least when i push these buttons i don't get slapped. I'll get a camera from argos. If it buggers up I'll box it up n bring it back. Lot of burgalries in our neighbourhood. Don't want folk comin n leavin me stuff
