hdd, recording and time lapse problem

To-day when I tried to record a program I was getting a error msg saying that I don't have enough disk yet I got an internal and external hdd with nothing on them. And something else about the internal hdd not being ext2/3/ or 4. Seems the duo isn't seeing the hdd, me thinks. Any ideas guys? Thanks in advance for your replies. I'm getting ( record write error message) is this little bit of info any use? Problem solved , I reflashed the box

Check what the disks say in the mount manager and see if they are mounted properly.
