Can the VU+ be used as an IPTV box?

I'm thinking of buying the above box but with the impending shut of cccams when sky upgrade their security i don't want an expensive receiver just sat there collecting dust. I was looking into buying a blade stream HD IPTV but if the VU+ duo can do this task i'll continue and purchase the VU?

If its just for 28.2? east dont bother buying anything as the saying goes Nothing lasts for ever. And on another note how do you think the IPTV streams work for the channels if it goes on satellite then it goes on that as well

did not stop me from buying a solo2 and it will do other things if 28.2 goes funny,other things to find out there.
