Look up easy installation project valerie the page will have a link to downloads. You want one ending mips32el oe20 ipk for duo. ftp ipk file then use telnet opkg jnstall command. You should find it a good read but a lot of people keep getting crashes. Movie browser was on vix downloads but i dont see it on latest image?

I've used project Valerie and movie browser, but much prefer the latter. Rock solid, never crashed and even the mrs can use it.
        Try movie browser instead.

Downloaded project valerie rev 1269 mips32el oe20ipk wouldn't find file doing opkg install so I installed ipk normally on vix build 720 via blue button>vix>install local extension on screen wizard appears select your settings I didn't choose autoupdate etc as you can change these later in settings. I then hard rebooted after this then menu>project valerie>system>synchronize>green button. you should see your movies etc now. I think it crashed once during this but has been stable since. I couldn't find moviebrowser on vix downloads and I know they had it a while back maybe we will see valerie on soon. hth

PV was removed from the image feeds a long time ago ( some thing like ViX 2.1 or 2.2 ), PV it self works fine but the autoupdater screwed both the plugin and image up so we removed ot from the feeds. also while PV provides a pretty GUI it does not provide any additional functionality over the default built in media player.

                  Thanks guys
Went for moviebrowser in the end, great plugin (after you have edited all the names of the movies) can anyone confirm that PV also lists music as well as films, if so it could be worth a download. Just getting use to my vu duo.....what a box
