I think i had it converting to ext/3 or 4. It is telling me that jobs are running in the background. Duo was doing the samething last night but was interupted,so starting again. When this is complete will this connect hdd to duo?

Blue button press vix > mount manager > ok > set up mounts > ok > Should say hard disk and size > scroll cursor to right till it says media /hdd > press green button to save. Should tell you updating mount locations and ask you to restart now. Now go try and record.

Followed your instructions, didn't work. I then went to time shift settings and tried to enable, but when i hit the green button i getting the following msg "The directory /hdd/timeshift/is not an EXT2,EXT3,EXT4 or NFS partition. Make sure you select a vailid partition type. "

What does it say when you choose mount manager?

Tells me to restart and when i do nothing has changed. I have no idea why the hdd disconnected in the first place. What is tspanel and how do i access it, is it a plugin? Think that maybe part of the solution if i am right.

I will post as much detail as i can later to-night or to - morrow.

                    Ta for your posts

                      The build number is 726
I copy and pasted this post. You may have to highlight it to read it. Sorry
In mount manager i have the below information.
                      (Size: unavailable
                      Mount: none
                      device: /dev/sda1
                      Type: unavailable.)

When i choose setup mount, i am then asked to save.
Then when i restart a bar appears saying "tune failed"

I don't know if image manager has any relevance though it says the following.

                      (Device:
there was a problem with this device, please reformat.)

I have disconnected other devices so as to get this sorted.

                      Thanks in adance for replies.

Take the hdd out and reformat it fat 32 and then reinsert and remount and restart.

I don't have the casing for to put the hdd into in order to connect it my lappy to format it. That sounds like a scary job.

What does it do or say when you initialise on the box.

I am advised that all data will be lost , i hit the red button and assume nothing is happening. Then when i attempt to restart enigma i am advised that jobs are running in the back ground. Asside from that i was on another forum and was advised to reflash with build 724. But fearful that i will loose my channels cuz i already forgot how to reinstall them despite putting them in only 2 wks ago. Don't bother with tech stuff to much like hard work trying to hold a thought
