Vu Duo Original or Vu Solo 2 Clone

Hi guys, have not been here for a while.

Decided to ditch my DM800HD Clone, which I must say has never let me down. I am changing because I want a dual tuner and plus I dont want to run a box sitting on a USB cooler box constantly as we all know that this was a down side to the first Dm800 having a fan.

My question is, funds are limited, but do I go for a Duo Original which can be had direct from Vu Plus Uk Ltd for ?230 which includes a 500gb hdd, or will a clone Solo 2 be good enough?
I have contacted Brandasat and can get one delivered for $256 (?165 inc transfer cost using WU).

Are these boxes reliable from them (Brandasat)?

I just dont have the extra cash to pay ?300 plus with a HDD for a Solo 2 original.

One other thing, the Solo 2 clone, would it have the same power consumption as an Original? Trying to be energy sufficient and like the idea the Solo 2 use under 0.5w when in deep standby. :-)

Would really appriciate any views guys.

    TIA
    Danny

I had the Original Vuduo which I ditched when the solo2 came out and it has more power no doubt than the vuduo. I have heard very good things about the solo2 clone as well and am actually about to buy another to replace my DM800HD clone as well so I would def give the solo2 clone a try.

Nice one mate. I took the plunge and ordered one from Brandasat.
I will keep this post updated.
