I was having a look at with devices i have connected via vermin. Among them is my duo. Is it possible to change the neme of me duo to whatever suits me? if so how.

Not sure exactly how you mean if its the name that appears in your routers listing menu then if it can be changed then that would have to be done via the router itself, You cant Physically change the Duo's MAC its fixed

It came to mind because vermin was able to tell me over the phone what wired devices i had connected. I didn't like that. i no wat to change it to just don't no how to.Comment

That Guides for Changing the Wireless network SSID and not what your looking for, Personally its got Naff All to do with Virmin what's connected to your router and they should not be snooping anyway.
You need to change the name of the Vu duo in the Router part itself by accessing via a web browser ie: 192.168.0.x what ever it is find where your connected items are and change the name.
If it was my i would change it to 'Up Yours Virmin'

Digicon was right, its for changing SSID. Even if you could change the device name, if you drop the first few digits of any mac address into google, it will tell you the vender anyhow, ie, andriod so on
The other way around this, is 3rd party router. They can only see whats connected to thier equipemnt
3rd party router and change admin name and pw is the way to go for me.
But its here if you want to change it
