i'm guessing you mean how to flash the box

how to flash a VU+ Duo receiver with a USB stick. required are just your favorite image and at least a 128mb memory stick formatted FAT32. when you download a image of your choice you open the zip or rar folder and extract a open folder named vuplus from it, do not open this folder, send it to your usb stick after you've Formatted the memory stick on your PC FAT32.then you Power off your VU+ Duo with the switch on the rear panel. Insert memory stick into front USB slot. turn the Power on your VU+ Duo and follow the box screen instructions,
when it says finished, you remove the memory stick and turn the box off and after a few seconds turn back on and then on the tv screen you set up the menu etc. after this you can then add the extra's you need

Hi Benny/9, i can flash my Vu+ Duo fine with BH 1.6.5, but if i try a more up to date version, is it 2.9 ?, it tells me to remove the stick and re-boot, and after doing this, it just stays on 'starting' and the red light stays on, like forever.
also, is there any other software i need, like an EPG.
can you advise me please ?

Then that means your Vu Duo is more than likely a Clone receiver which is limited to certain versions of images it can use, if its a ferrari clone then have a look for a sticker that may say V2.0 or V3.2 on the back or underneath then have a look at this thread here: http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...s-only-256587/

Hi Digicon, i am pretty sure it's not a clone as i bought it from a reliable source at the going rate for the genuine article. also, it has worked ok since my mate flashed it for me a few months back, but last week it displayed a message that a file was either corrupt or missing, so i decided to re-flash it with the same vuplus image that my mate left on my pc.

i read elsewhere that someone had a image from another team on his vu and when he tried to update to the latest bh 209 he had the same problem as you, he was told to flash a earlier bh image first then flash the latest bh 209 image, he first flashed
the bh 207 on his box and that loaded ok so he then flashed the 209 image and that loaded and his box is working first class if you want to use the latest image, try the same way and see if that clears the problem.

you could try flashing the official stock VU DUO image direct from VU to put the stb back to its factory state then try a 3rd party image using the same OE 1.6 or OE 2.0,regards mdt
