IS IT A CLONE ? VU+DUO

Hi hope someone can enlighten me and tell me how to tell a clone VU+DUO From an original as my friend has just given me one asking me to update it for him and I don't know what image to use for clone or original.
as it has not been used since 2011. thanks.


do hope its original as he doesn't know.

any stickers under box saying v1-v2 etc are clones,state what image is onit,dell has photos posted of inside clone and original i think.

Search the net for image vu+duo clone
This should get you started look at rear of box for hints then you could check board inside
You could maybe upload a few pics we would be able to help further
What image does it have on just now if image is old it may need latest bootloader installed hth

Thanks for your input found a few pictures that tell think I need to search a bit harder in future. these may help anyone who wishes to know.

Well its an original and what an easy setup great box.

The pictures are not of a Duo as there is only 1 tuner and no hard drive mount

Well spotted these are indeed pictures of solo maybe woody will upload the proper ones.

the same applies to most vu box's the pictures are of the solo but the duo is the same with the screws and logo on the back panel.
a certain way is left image clone solo right image duo clone.
but please check yourself as there are loads of images on the net above is a guide only but worked for me.
