Hi new to the forum i am just about to buy a vu+solo 2 is there any to tell the
difference between a clone and a genuine box.

Search the web for vu solo2 clone and search images. Some clones are quite close but will always have telltale signs. hth
Also search how to detect solo2 clone.

If I were you mate, I'd seriously consider buying a genuine Solo2 only.
That way you can be sure you dont end up like alot of us, caught by the upgrade time bomb & having a bricked box.
Just my little bit of advise, pay the few quid extra for piece of mind....

only buy from a dealer in the uk or the country you
live in, that way you can ask and be sure it's genuine
plus members he can give you pm's with where to buy
from that they know only sell genuine models,

yes when you flash it with the latest B.H. image it will brick the box if its a clone..... only joking as above just buy from a main dealer and not E*** or HK/PRC. you can usually tell by the price as if everyone else is selling a box for ?250 and then you find one for ?150 it pretty much puts up a red flag. if it seems to good to be true it is,regards mdt
