Need a Line from a password protected DM800

My friend recently bought a 'clone DM800' satellite box with a 1 year sub from a computer fair. He has now purchased a Vu-solo and wants the 'Sub line' transfered over. The DM800 appears to have a FTP password. Anyone know how I can extract the 'line' from the Dreambox to put it into the solo? The guy from the show will not help at all.

If you have Tuxbox commander installed you can get a known passwd file and put it on a USB stick, then use tuxcom to transfer that to /etc/ overwriting the unknown passwd file - then you have access to the box
