Solo 2 Remote Control set up

Hi Guys

Just to delivery of my solo 2. I am going to set it up tonight. I have put in the hard drive no problem (not powered up the box yet)

I noticed there are no instructions in the box for the remote set up.

1. I read on somewhere that you need to set up the remote for the correct box you have (eg Uno Dou Solo Solo2 etc). How do you do that and what code have you guys used to set yours up?

2. I have a Sony tv which I would like the volume control to work for the tv to so can some one point me in the direction for the TV codes too.

Put batteries in the remote, point at the box when it's on, thats u, as for setting it up with yer TV just google it m8, don't think you need a code as such it searches for correct code :-)

1. TV setting
Set-up Sequence: <<1 + 3>>, <4digit brand-code>, <<Mute or Power>>
1. Press number 1and 3 for three seconds until LED is on.
2. Find your TV brand-code from the TV code list and insert 4 digit code.
- If you press 0000, Full Automatic Scan will start. This will take a while.
3. Keep pressing Mute button (or Power) until your TV is muted (or turned off)
4. If your TV is muted (or turned off), stop pressing Mute button.
5. Now, your RCU is in test mode and press Volume + /- to check if your TV responds.
6. If the volume buttons are operational, Press <OK + STOP ( )> to escape from the set-up mode

One other question when flashing with a USB does the USB have to be formatted to ex - fat format and not ntfs

Thanks for that but i tried to install a vix image now all the box says is starting ... please help

Ok everything ok now. Got it all sorted. Problem with the usb stick.
Flashed it with original image (using a different usb) then flashed it with vix image

hi, I need to put de RC in defaults values; I lost volume keys and mute trying to use the RC with my TV

Hi lotar,

Reset of TV Set-up
In case you want to reset the configured TV set-up of your RCU,
Press Sequence: <<1 + 6>>, <9>, <9>, <6>
1. Press 1and 6 for three seconds until LED is on.
2. Press <9>, <9>, <6>.
3. This will reverse the RCU into no configuration state.
