Hard drive not recognised after working fine

I was watching a recording earlier this evening on my solo2 when all of a sudden it stopped in the middle of viewing. I went into my recordings list and noticed all my programmes had gone. I had a quick look in my device manager and the hdd wasn't showing. Is this likely to mean the HDD is knackered or something more sinister?

    Cheers

Could be an Image problem, Which image are you currently running on the Solo2 and is it an original or clone model

It sounds like the hdd isn't mounted, does a restart bring the hdd back.

Cheers for the replies guys......found out it was the actual HDD that had gone faulty, after leaving it over night the box recognised it the next day but after re-mounting it and playing something i'd recorded, the picture froze and the HDD starting making an awful noise.

Anway i've got it out of there and ordered a new one.
