Simple answer if you have very limited bandwidth broadband dont use the internet while using the receiver or just light browsing usage, not many free ISP routers will have bandwidth management options in them you may have to source one yourself

I have a decent modem-router with bandwidth control (TP-Link TD-W8968) but Im not sure what Im doing with it. I have cut down the download speeds on newsleecher and that has helped a little, but for some reason when browsing the internet it still glitches. Tried rebooting router and solo2.

Just make sure that you've limited your download enough so that when downloading and surfing it doesn't glitch. So for example I always limit my download speed to around three quarters or four fifths of my total download speed and then when going to bed just set it to unlimited. Don't forget about setting it to unlimited though as it's easy enough to forget to do this.

Ok limited all my download bandwidth. But what is strange is when browsing the internet my box will still glitch, whether Im downloading or not.

I now have a new netgear router and I have given my solo2 priority and it seems to have done the trick.... Cheers.

You need to find QOS and add a new rule for your box. it will give you the options I have used then.
