Vu solo2 - 2nd screen through hdmi utp extenders - Advice Please

Hi does anyone else have a 2nd screen setup with there vu solo2?
I am having problems with mine when using wyrestorm utp extenders.

I have a 26m run of cat cable between these 2 50m capable utp extenders but I get the picture
for a brief second and then it just turns to snow.

I use exactly the same setup with my sky box without any issues.

Do I have a faulty Vu box? Can someone advise? Thanks

Are you using the extenders with a splitter or matrix unit at all

I do use a matrix but I still have the same problem with & without (i.e. direct connection using utp's) the matrix in the system.

I'll have a check later. Can this setting make a difference?

It might and it might not, as the image will check for the HDMI EDID information on a regular basis and this could cause the droput as a general rule of thumb i have mine turned off as i have no wish to control my TV,Amp etc.. with the same remote

Sorted now. It doesn't matter if the EDID setting is on or off for me.
What I had to do was switch the UTP receiver into long cable mode.
Seems strange that it was fine for the sky box on non long mode setting.
Maybe the sky box has a better amplifier?
