do you have it mounted also in mount manager? hopefully you are using a powered usb supply and hardrive is no bigger than 1tb.

i have another wee question to ask, how can i get the epg downloader to transfer to the hard drive instead of the internal memory, and can i delete the cacheflush? thanks

you would need to change where epg is stored and not internal flash or you will end up reflashing unit.
cacheflush is in plugins from the menu you download and it maybe be an extension ,not used it so unsure where.
