Clearing box and starting again VU+ Solo 2

Hi guys,

Need some help. Looking to wipe a current box and start over (long and short of it, something went wrong and now getting a var/volatile/tmp when trying to update some bits and pieces...) Looking to reset the box, wipe anything that's there and start over again in the hope that a regular tmp folder appears again.

So, is there a step by step on how to do this? I've had a look around but definitely a rookie! Had Vix on the box before and a decent Sly channel list (naturally, free to air only channels) but it's about two years since I've touched anything on the box. Is wiping and re-starting the best avenue in this case or is there something I can do get rid of the 'volatile' folder.

yes best to start from scratch having saved important info to pc first,get your new image from the home of vix and grab that vix manual pdf file also in downloads for setting up boxes now.setting up boxes have changed as you dont use an ipk file now but you download plugins and get the 1.38 thing[ hope you know what that is] dont ask as forum rules dictate.
at some stage old firmware cannot do online updates and you need to start fresh flash and no settings restore.

presume your box is an original and not a clone if vix image was on box.
