If you replace the TSOP-48 in a vusolo2 does it have to be the identical TSOP48 make/model No or can you use different type ?

If your referring to the flash I/C chip, then yes.
However, if your box is a clone then you'll be doing well to get that chip, as it appears they are no longer available from the supplier.
