Peugeot 407 key type

A while back i lost my only original key for my peugeot 407. got a chinese key programmed which turns the engine on but cant get the central locking to work with the remote. can anyone tell me exactly which key type i need? CE type and whether its ask or fsk. i can provide VIN: VF36DRHRH21181041

Peugeot 407 what year? After programming the key have you tried to Manually program the remot? Depending on the year pretty sure you can do it with keydiy or xhorse NB series

well i have tried to program it using the guide from pp2000. i do not have any specialty tools, only pp2000 and interface. its a 2005. my guess is that remote is not same frequency or is different type(ask/fsk) than my car.

You need genuine 0523 ASK

IMO aftermarket keys not work on this one

You can still look for the differences between 79/41 and 79/61 and I think you might be lucky.

you need oem part number 9170 X3

if using keydiy you need 0523 ask configuration.

once you have programmed the key , key in ignition and ignition turned on to position 2 when dash lights up then press lock button on remote for 5 full seconds , after 5 seconds release lock button swwitch of ignition remove key and test remote , if you have correct key the remote will now work

41 and 61 MCU will start the car.

I think he tried to say "not working correctly" - in my experiance with aftermarket 7941ask from Qcontrol - was working fine all 2 weeks xD After couple of weeks callback - key sending signal but not working with car anymore (remote). Tried couple of times and all stock gone into bin. Now i am using KD for this one and no more call backs.

For me the remote completely not work wasted few keys - car start but the remote not work

renewed genuine 0523 ASK - All works fine

alright so ive been searching for renewed keys but cant really seem to find anything. chinese keys seem to not be working I got one with right frequency and stuff but still wont work. if anyone can help me with a link to a key thats going to work for sure I would be really grateful. thanks for all the help so far.

If you buy this and download KEYDIY apk on your phone you can definitely program a new key with working remote
Of course, you also need a KD type VA2 blade
From the application installed on the phone, select Remote function>Vehicle Remote>Peugeot>search in the list 0523 NB Multifunction ASK ID:R00620 and generate the right key
You can download the application to see how it works

thanks, so keydiy is my only hope huh? i thought maybe id have any luck with cheap chinese ones if i buy the right frequency... thanks a lot

ok no need to complicate this, all 0523 ask keys will work on 407 (including most of cheapest chinese ones) . also 0523 ask keydiy , xhorse...

i have ordered both a cheap ask key and a keydiy key, however i need to find someone to help me program the keydiy one as i didnt buy the cable. if there s anyone from Romania who can help with that or provide an already programmed keydiy b11-3 key lmk and I will pm you, I will pay of course.
