Default Channel Difference Starview 2, and 3 ?

I have asked this question before on other forums but its never been answered.
I have a Starview 2, and 3. But the 2 does not have as many channels on it as the 3. I.E The Starview 3`s end channels are displayed as 3000, but the 2 displays its end channel as nothing like this (about 525 for example)

Can anyone explain why this is ? I do recall some time ago when setting up the 3, sort of accidentally inputting a keystroke and the channels seemed to go up to 3000, (or was I imagining it) both boxes are in the same building on the same line so to speak

you'll probs find that they have roughly the same amount...just labled different.....as there isnt 3000 channels on cable.....probs loads of numbers missing from begging middle nd end of the 3000 list
