Default Browser closes when keys are pressed on keyboard

    Hi folks,

Got a problem with my main PC, I downloaded Spyware Doctor and loads of trojans, etc. appeared when I was installing it. I cancelled the install but I've been infected. If you try to do anything worthwhile, i.e. connect to internet and use the keyboard, the browser will shut down. If you are running a spyware program or av program and you press a key on the keyboard, they will shutdown. If I open wordpad and type, it allows that so the keyboard isn't at fault. I can load IE or FF and click on bookmarks and the pages load and I can browse ok, just when I press any key, any key at all, they close.

I've ran about 4 AV programs, different antispyware program, found a few things, not many, but still doing it. Currently scanning using AVG with latest definitions.

Anyone heard of this before? Not having much luck with Google either.

    Cheers
    -Devilfish

Definitely nothing to do with that, I'm using a wired keyboard.

AVG has found a few things but it's slower than a week in the jail.

Thanks guys, my PC is not bad at all, I keep on top of it, it's just this one thing!

I thought it was a good excuse to try Windoze 7...installed in about 20 mins...very impressed...but it didn't find the network connecting on my motherboard so had to use a usb to ethernet adapter to get on net to fault find. 6 hours later...still not working. Installed XP Pro (old faithful) and that didn't find it either, can't remember how I got it to work last time...most annoying!

If I find the drivers, I might try W7 again but it looked pretty much the same as Vista (which I hate) so not sure. I liked the transparency thing going on with the windows and I liked the browser tabs, the way they show up at the bottom when you hover over the IE icon.

Tut tut tut...you never backed up your drivers with the likes of Driver Genius or Driver Magician ???

Have you tried any of the big driver discs m8. I posted one in software incase you havent. It might not have the driver you need but may be worth a shot.
