Needs to be a remote key. You can't program a normal pcf7936.

i program these with avdi or opcom. I dont precode them or anything, they come from my supplier & just program straight in. Its from a local supplier, Ive never been able to find a cheap chinese version

on Astra H? this is pcf7941.

Have you read key(virgin) with some external programmer? I did it once with zedbull and f... key.
If you can't program try to delete keys and add first new then old keys.

I have bad experience with X100+ and OPEL, it deleted keys on ASTRA G but I could not program them back had to use tech2, also op-com doesn't work 100%

opcom has worked 100% for me, but sometimes if all key spaces are used, they need to be deleted first. I actually just did one 5 minutes ago & the original key was a pcf7941.

I usually use avdi to do keys though because opcom doesnt get the pin. avdi has never failed me on these and is pretty simple to use, I never precode anything, just learn in a new key & it works

I advise you to do it with Tech2.
You will save a lot of time. With E.f.fi make precode 4.3.3 and you try to program the key.
Only I do not have experience or operate central lock.

2nd hand keys wont code in , it must be a new remote key unless you cahnge the chips on it and precode them , also as has been said if reading a new virgin remote key in a cloner/reader it often corrupts these so unusable.
