Default TOTAL NOOBS GUIDE TO SETTING UP DM500C

OK first up, the dk forum is THE place for all dreambox related goodies/help.
the stickies/guides are easy to follow and comprehensive.
i know from experience that when you join a new forum, it can be daunting to ask for help not saying that DK is like that, but you know what i mean. anyway i'm rambling. As i stated, the guides are excellent but maybe whats missing is all the info in one file. This isnt a critique BTW

Anyhoo, ive unashamedely plagiarised devilfish and thommos excellent guides and recompiled them with a bit of tweaking.
kudos to you guys and any noobs like i was (still am?) please take a read.
    thanks

nice guide but i'm having problems with the last bit.
Transferring the keys and scce folder using flashfxp. I keep getting failed to transfer when trying to drag the file from the local pc to the dreambox.
    Any ideas?

    Thanks in advanced.

    EDIT..

The guide may be incorrect as its mentioning the var_init folder. As oppose to the var folder.

    Hello Shady77,

I've followed your tutorial with success, but still cannot open encrypted Nagra2 channels.

Can i decrypt nagra2 channels using this DIGITAL KAOS v1.1 image ?

I have a dump from a local smartcard, which keys i need to get from there and how do i store them on dreambox ?

    Thank's

You get back what you put in from the forum so if you want to download than you are going to have to make a few useful posts.

    Smile Downloading items.

Thank you for your prompt response, given the fact that this is a newbie forum providing information for individuals, also given that fact that this website is mostly dedicated to people who are well versed in the art of dream box installation and initialization and various other elements regarding satellite and cable reception, I would therefore suspect that I have nothing to offer.
Does this website allow for the discussion of other topics that are irrelevant upon which I can fulfill the relevant criteria to allow downloads and therefore open other privileges.

    Thank you.

you only need 1 post to make a download m8....that can be a simple hello in the introductions section.

once you have done that it can take up to 30mins for you to gain download priviliges as forum needs to auto update itself.

there is plenty of other sections beside dreambox etc for you to get involved in m8
