    Default DM600C

Hi, Guys, I have just bought a DM600C, I am a noive, I been reading the forums but I really dont know what to do?

Which Image do you put on the DM600C and where can I get it from?

Can I not use my old image from my DM500C?

I havent got a Hard Disk for it yet, do I need to flash it once the Hard Disk is in
it or can I just put the HD in after I have flashed it?

Will the box auto update like my old DM500C.

    Please HELP

I think the images for the 500c is compiled differently and will not work on the 600. If i was u i would use a PLi image on the 600, i use the Iolite which has been runnign smoothly for abou7 months since it was installed. Pli do have a newer image out called Jade. Yon can download this image direct from the PLi site.

When you have it loaded comeback to this thread and tell us we will walk you through the next bits...

    Default Dreambox 600C

Hi, I tried to update the dreambox with the Jade Pli Image from the Pli website using Dreamup. But when i kept getting an error. I could connect to the box via the network, but it didnt work through the console cable.

I used the same console cable/laptop to flash my dreambox500c before.

    Its a USBtoSerial cable.

    Any ideas?

Also when i have managed to flash it with the Jade Pli what do I do next?
Do i put the keys roms on the dreambox? If so how and where do I get them from?

Also What is this Evocam, whats it for and do i need it?

    Thanks in advance

Evocamd decodes the signal effectively, i use 2.12, i know there are newer cams like 2.17 but they do nto clear the channels for me in my area. Try 2.12 or 2.13.

I have not got the Jade image and am unsure what it looks like. I guess you are gonna need the services and cables file and the keys. You will need to ask a Jade user to find out exactly what to do.. Am not sure if the image as the AU ilke the Iolite..

    do a bruteforce scan

once you done that you will need the keys and rom files from a backed up image to put onto Jade image.
    keys to var\keys follder
    roms to var\scce folder
you can install evocamd 2.17 from the remote control once you got your box connected to your network,
