Default AC Delco e87 bricked Opel Meriva B 1.7 cdti Astra J

So I had this spare ECU and decided to do some testing..

I read already that I should have original Kess or IO terminal to clone these ECUs but gave it a try with Kess (clone) and managed to read it (2MB), it took around 1h.. So I grabbed another ECU with the same HW number and tried to write this backup.. it took only 2 minutes and ended up with errors..

of course ECU doesnt boot up anymore, no communication Any way to bring it back to live? or spare parts only?

You need to read password first to have access via boot mode. OBD read with Kess is partial thats why you cannot clone.
You can try SPS programming with MDI. Maybe it can recover it

Ok, all clear now - a bit too late

So the reason behind my spare ECU is bricked now is wrong (partial) flash (different version) loaded to ECU that was made for different car..

I'm wondering - maybe it's the right time to get I/O terminal with Delco plugin?

yes, i have seen that, so it looks like it does the job and its possible to clone this ECU with proper plugin..

Another question related to this ECU - has anyone ever tried to remove pcb from the cover?
I managed to open it but then I got stuck and seems to be very well glued, pcb doesnt move at all.. any ideas?
The problem with it is faulty control circuit for glow plug - trying to get access to control section but need to remove whole pcb first..

Seems to be easier to do it by OBD. Get pincode and learn with opcom or gds

Hello, they have a good silicone to hold the pcb on case, the plugs are inserted by pressure into the pcb holes. Verry hard to get it outside the case. Ioterminal does reprogram this, bit since it cannot be recognized the right addresses in the flash, it cannot be possible to recover it. Never try to reflash them if you don't have the propper tools. I have made my mistakes too. Better sps or opel tools to get carpass, reset and reprogram. Much easy and safe, too.

You right about the proper tools volorucinski looks like i bricked this ecu also. I've read this ecu by clone Kess, it took about 20min. Maps looks ok, nothing is missing, but when I wrote file back I got error on 98%, recovery mode also didnt help. Car is not starting now, I've still communication with ecu, KESS do ID no problem, I can read it again no problem, tried ori KESS to write ori file back also and no joy (full process going with no errors), SPS programming doesn't have updates for this ecu. Only fault in ecu is P0601 - INTERNAL CU MEMORY CHECKSUM ERROR.

Is there any way to get this ecu working? I attached ori file and also reading after when car is not starting
