pop and bang don't work

I would like advice from you experts in the sector.
For two weeks we have been trying to pop and bang a VAG engine. seat Ibiza 1.8 T 20V 150cv. The exhaust system is free. There are no catalysts or silencers, the air filter has been replaced with a cone, the rest is all original.
With my master we have tried more than 10 files, but we can't "bang". I'm starting to have some doubts. Could the problem be on the engine? I attach one of the many files to make you understand what we have done. A forum user chrisimark also helped me, but to no avail.
