wish wed have jumped in for nasri though would have been a good addition im still hoping we get another through the door though

nice to see anderson btw getting forward the other night he looked more like the attacking midfielder i have always believed he could be and i was expecting after seeing him at porto

maybe he will step up this year like rooney did when ronny went he has ability but seems shackled to playing sideways at times and he still needs to get leaner like when he was at porto

Would have been nice to have signed Nasri he would have had a great career at Old Trafford but he had a choice to make and he made it.

I think most Utd fans have at some point had Anderson in for some stick, he's looked out of shape, out of touch and given SAF some shit in the past. We all know he has the quality and if he can keep this up consistently then we have the makings of a fine midfield man.
Our squad does look in decent shape and there is enough there to win a league title my only worry squad wise is Fletcher (we have missed him) and that virus he's had. What ~~~~ing virus lasts this long ?
Have we enough to make a dent on Barcelona/Madrid in the champions league then I would prefer us to bring in one World class midfielder to feel more confident in that regard.

All that said we have once again produced a crop of youngsters that have all the ability to carry the club forward for years to come and that for me is more exciting than any signing.

For the record it's always good to see an objective opinion it helps to keep the mind from wandering into total delusion. I am sure that has happened to other club fans somewhere

i would agree with that btw on the nasri front i was hoping we would make a late move but i suspect ferguson knew where he was going all along after he distanced himself from the transfer in late june early july

i reckon we were told to match citys offer or something similar if we wanted him by his agents and city are out of our league in that respect

but as you say the future looks ok we have got some decent yoiung players and i expect pogba to come in at some point this season and start to push for a place

still like another though in the middle to challenge barca but in the league we will be there or there abouts no question

regards to the post regarding modric not sure if i want him does anyone else????

i will be happy with another signing sneijder or goetze will do

Sneijder is not training with his team, so still could be on. Modric going to CFC if anywhere and same as with City, whenever CFC come in for someone they out bid us with price and wage, plus the bonus Modric will stay in London.
Sneijder for me would be the one.

I would take Modric if we could get him for a decent price but Arry being Arry the price might even be enough to put Chelsea and City off.
Goetze looks like good value but maybe one for the future so I think like most that Sniedjer would be the ideal signing. We do look one World Class midfielder short of a major assault on Barcelona and Madrid.
We do have some other cracking youngsters Pogba as mentioned and also Morrison and Tunnicliffe who could make the grade before long.

More pressing news is the champions league draw here it is in full

    Welcome back Champions league football

Group A: Bayern Munich, Villarreal, MAN CITY, Napoli
Group B: Inter Milan, CSKA Moscow, Lille, Trabzonspor
Group C: MAN UTD, Benfica, Basel, Otelul Galati
Group D: Real Madrid, Lyon, Ajax, Dinamo Zagreb
Group E: CHELSEA, Valencia, Bayer Leverkusen,Genk
Group F: ARSENAL, Marseille, Olympiakos, Borussia Dortmund
Group G: FC Porto, Shakhtar Donetsk, Zenit, Apoel FC
Group H: Barcelona, AC Milan, BATE Borisov, Viktoria Plzen

Very confident looking at our group and I also think City did ok as coming from pot 3 they could have had it a hell of a lot worse.

Great draw we look a shoe in the next round with that and dont forget the super cup tonight, we get a look at a couple of our European rivals.

Barcelona v Porto I think kick off is 7.45 BST
It's on ITV4 now for anyone interested.

    Showin off ****

Blaze is miles better before the game but the Traffords great for a sing song afterwards. Hard work getting in the Bishop though you have to arrive good an early.
