The sorry fact is its awfully easy to make a suicide bomber out of anyone.
Back when i worked with kids i found out relatively quickly how easily manipulated they where, kids that where abused, mistreated, drug addicts, dropouts or otherwise excluded will do anything you want should you give them even the slightest hint of positive attention and a channel for their anger, resentment and feeling of disenfranchisement.
I stumbled into this idea because of a recruitment officer for the Army, he was more than willing to tell kids exactly what they wanted to hear and instantly latched on to the abundance of anger and angst and feed that propaganda to suit his agenda.
I escorted him from the premises in a hurry after watching the sheer efficiency of how he operated. (i booted him not because i feel the army is a bad thing, but because he acted like a plastic surgeon convincing a client that its perfectly safe and essential to go under the knife, without presenting any opposing argument to form a well rounded opinion)
Take a Ned (Chav in England) for instance, he's most likely to run in a crowd of people and feel a strong sense of loyalty and respect for those in his gang. its no great stretch to poet that over to a mujahideen mentality, people already fairly anti establishment wont recoil at the idea of bringing it all down for their brethren and live on in infamous memory.
Parents where alcoholics? The mujahid mentality sees alcohol as poision, consumed only by the weak. Allah wont let you down, Allah keeps his promises etc...
It seems fairly trivial to convert someone to become a fanatical zealot willing to die for a cause, and this is RIGHT HERE on our front door where theres everything bvilleuk listed and more.
Walk into any youth shelter or center and you've litteraly got your army just waiting to be indoctrinated, all thats needed is some questionable ethics, a pinch of dogma and voila a room full of people already looking to lash out at something are now ready to strap up and run into the nearest school.
Everyone already knows about kids in Chad, Burma, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Chechnya and so forth using kids as young as 8 as soldiers, what we fail to realise is that the UK and US have already sent kids as young as 16 out to Iraq passing it off as a clerical error or some other mistake. I dont know a 16yr old who wouldnt love the idea of tooling up and being rambo. I would have loved the idea at that age, largely because at 16 i was a complete idiot who had everything figured out (

not that thats actualy changed with age) what kid doesnt want to be Rambo? a lot of kids ive come into contact with are already suicidal, it would take absoloutly no effort to give them a bomb and have their lives "mean" something.
