The xdg128 I read is from BMW F11 JBBFE3 or JBE junction box module. Main gateway for the car. Should I add photos? Can anybody help with how to unlock it now? Can the program be updated to not lock the chip when you erase it?

Yes I read it successfully. I read it because AVDI killed it writing VIN. I replaced the unit so wanted to try reading the old one and see if I could recover it. To be honest I was curious to see if the erase command would set the security bit because this module is not required so trying the erase command on this one I would know not to use it on a module I do need if this happened.

would this tool (VVDI2) be able to read and remove the immo4 on the newer med9.1 with rsa2 checksums from the 2012 to 2013 model GOLF R. 1k8907115D , with Vdo clusters.
good thread btw.
The changes I wanted to make was to erase it. AVDI killed it but I can not find any dumps anywhere to revive so I wanted to erase first and go from there. As I say I could have manually changed all bytes to FF leaving 1ff0f 0xfe but I was interested to see if the erase command would do this or not. I found out it does not.
So now that vvdi prog does not read it; How should I read and write the contents of this chip? I have tried to remove but even when hot enough to lift legs it seems the chip is stuck to the board somehow!
Thank you
I did the Tricore 1766 on the ECU SIM2K-341 today and it was quite successful, I corrected 4 resistors of 470 ohms

I surprise those who do not want to use the Thanks and Reputation buttons but ask for the password of the files.
