ok.jpgfail to enter eis, cut by code.jpgUniversal copy, fail.jpg
A Bentley, electronic ignition lock. Same used by Audi and Porsche, some VW.

A HU66 with extended cut, to hold the key in the lock, when ignition is on.

The key, that came with the car, was ok.(left)
The key, cut using dolphin, is not ok. The lead in, on the top, left, does not enter the lock. (middle)
And the universal copy, could not follow the lead in. i scrubbed the ori key. And tryed 2 times, each time it left a dent in the lead in track.(right)

The rounded shape, off the new key blank, wants to slide underneed the shim, instead of guiding it inwards the key channel.
If the lead in, starts, from the upper left corner, and 1mm further towards the blade, it would be ok.

I waisted overall a lot off time to cut just 1 key.

cut like this.jpgit should be like this, or like cars key in the top left picture.

    hu56r wont stay clamped, in the A position. ( M2 clamp )
    It pops out.

Same with hu101 ford. A used key, terrible to clamp and scan.
For now, i decoded them, by eye.
A new blade, will stay in place, on the first cutting side.
Lesser, when the key is flipped to cut other side.

HU101 Ford never had problem with it on XC-mini. Did many for car dealers.

    A new, hu101 is fine.
    Many hu101 are worn down.

Could they ad using clamp M1 option to the hu101, and perhaps also some other keys that wont stay clamped wel in the M2 clamp.

To make a universal copy, single sided, it does allow us allready , to clamp these tyes of keys.

    Hi
What if you were to purchase a key cutting machine in the same price range today... Would you still recommend this machine?

    Xhorse XP005
Benz CLK 2000 - universal key duplication.
    result: clamp M2 - B side damaged.
The cutter just cut part of clump. Strange.

    What happened?
Key type: Mercedes Benz 2000 HU64.
    Option: universal key duplication-> M2 clamp -> B side.
Machine did scanned well. One side went well with cutting.
After that turned the key to cut other side.
Machine cut right side 3-4 mm more than usual.

Advice: scan one side then cut new blade (but only one side).
Turn original key to other side, scan it and then cut other side from new key.

Result: key may work and may not.
Bug in Chorse is still present…
At this point B side was damaged.

You are not alone with this problem. Same thing happened to me.
It is really strange that in both cases the side B was affected.
2 different users. 2 different machines. 2 different key blades. Same B side was damaged.
    Definitely problem with device/ app/ update/ firmware…

I fixed the problem myself, nothing to do with app/ update/ firmware
its the motors jamming, I removed all the 3 motors out of the cutting machine & stripped them down, I oil the bearings soldered the contacts on the circuit boards
the cutter is now working perfect.

    I swapped my M2 clamp to a M5.
(The M5 is already equipped on the latest machine sold, from supplier).

Experienced earlier the same problems with the HU101 keys and also HU64 etc.

The M5 clamp is working much better.
Almost no problems in the daily cutting.

Only thing is the HU66 plastic key.
I am not able to do these anymore, with the M5 clamp.
(Maybe something I am missing, in the menu).
But have other machine ready, which sorts these out.

It is possible to swap back to the M2 clamp.
But needs several minutes with adaption sensing etc.
So I try to avoid this.
Since its already working good, with the M5.

Put a metal blade in the clamp, press start cut:
Then pause the cutter, just before the cutter reaches the blade.
Swapp to plastic, and press continue cutting.
